Time Out For Joy

I could talk about Virginia Tech, but what do I really have to offer on that? Today is the twelfth anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing and the Branch Davidian tragedy in Waco. Death, tragedy, and doom speak for themselves in a way that I am sure is beyond the human capability to further compliment. Sure we try all the time. But beyond the deaths of so many innocent people, the great tragedy may be that the killer got his final wish--an American media that has so easily granted him the infamy he seemed so desperate to achieve. So I choose to post a video of my team scoring a miraculous goal to the delight of thousands. I felt like watching something over and over that reminded me of the fleeting joy that people can feel--the true exception to the day to day misery our world is so skilled at providing. So allow me to be the jerk that would rather focus on the meaningless world of sports. If you need something else, turn on MSNBC, Fox News, or CNN. I am the king of Super Happy Fun Temple of Rev. Rob. Nothing I say after this past Monday will seem anything but self-centered. But hey, that's my specialty.

Oh, and I love you guys harder everyday.
