Wednesday's Child OR The Girl Who Sorta Makes My Pants Go Crazy This Week

This girl needs no clever caption. Posted by Hello

So yeah, I know she's more of a Thursday's Child, but it's been a tough week, Kids. Besides, I can wait an extra day for this week's W.C.O.T.G.W.S.M.M.P.G.C.T.W., Scarlett Johansson.

Last night, I sat on my couch, dazed from a week that included theft, a disappointing concert from one of my favorite bands, and the general beating that work provides. As I flipped through the channels, the movie "Lost in Translation" came on. I had been hearing for a while that this movie was great. And it was great. It illustrated how alien we can feel when we're outside of our world--which is how I'm sure I'll feel in New York this coming week. But Scarlett was beautiful in the way she was disillusioned. And I felt a little more peace.

I'm tired. Scarlett is beautiful. I'll try harder next week. If this column sucks, it's not my fault. The thieves stole my life force this week, too. Just look at this week's Wednesday's Child and enjoy...

Happy Happy Fun Observations

Wow, I just read what I just wrote there and I realized that such dour discourse goes against everything that this column stands for. So here are the positives I've been able to take from this week.

1. I wore a suit earlier this week and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I look really f'ing good in a suit. And I have a sweet ass, too!

2. Even though I have to go to New York for work next week and I'm bummed because I'm working in the suburbs, I realized that at least I'll be able to eat for free for five days. Free food gets me all hot and stuff.

3. My favorite basketball team, the Dallas Mavericks came into Game 3 of their playoff series with the Houston Rockets, down 0-2. Game 3 was in Houston. Dallas went up by 10, only to go down by 12. Somehow, they went on a 20-0 run in the 4th quarter and ended up winning by 4. The NBA. It's FANTASTIC.

4. Tomorrow I am drinking beer and being merry. It's nice to have things like that, even simple things, to look forward to. If you're reading this and you live close enough, come on over to The Apartment tomorrow.

5. Alright, I don't really have a fifth. But at first glance, it will look LIKE I have five observations. So crafty am I.
